FilesAnywhere CoolBackup

There’s much to like about FilesAnywhere CoolBackup: it is available for Windows and Mac desktops, it has a wizard and an advanced mode for the interface, it puts useful data backup and sync functionality at your desktop, it helps you create a profile and specify how you want to back up/sync data, it runs in the background as a service and does precisely what you tell it to do.

As mentioned above, FilesAnywhere CoolBackup is available for Windows and Mac OS X-powered desktop computers. Support is provided for 32 and 64-bit versions, all versions from Windows XP onward. Support is provided for all OS X versions from 10.5 Leopard onward. It must be mentioned here that FilesAnywhere CoolBackup is available as a free and as a professional version.

Two modes are available for the application’s interface: Wizard Mode and Advanced Mode.
From Wizard mode you can create a new profile (specify what data you want to be backed up, pick one of several sync options), run the backup/sync job, edit profiles, run profiles, start the scheduler.
Advanced Mode features two tabs: Profile Overview and Scheduler. Profile Overview allows you to take a look at the backup/sync parameters you picked when you created the profile.

FilesAnywhere CoolBackup does not need constant attention from the user. The application runs unattended as a Windows service and automatically performs scheduled backup/sync jobs. Up to 12 jobs can be run in parallel.
